Curriculum Intent

Overall Learning Goals

At Kiddy’s Childcare, our curriculum intent is defined by our overall learning goals. These set out the key skills, behaviours, and levels of independence we aim to support children to develop during their time with us.

Our intent is informed by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with particular emphasis on the Prime Areas of learning –  communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and physical development. These priorities guide our daily practice and shape the routines, experiences, and interactions that support each child’s learning and development.

While this page sets out our intent, the impact of our curriculum is demonstrated through the progress children make in relation to the EYFS Early Learning Goals. By the time children leave Kiddy’s, they are supported to develop essential self-care, social, and early learning skills, enabling them to transition confidently into nursery or mainstream school. This progress is supported through consistent routines, positive relationships, and age-appropriate opportunities that recognise each child as an individual.

The following overall learning goals outline the key skills and abilities we support children to develop during their time with us.
